Tara Wernsing is a business school trained social scientist, with a PhD in Management & Organizational Behavior, focused on Leadership research. Tara was a tenured Associate Professor in the area of Organizational Behavior at IE Business School in Madrid Spain, where she taught MBA and doctoral level courses in leading teams and mixed methods research, full-time between 2008 through 2016. She continued teaching part-time online for IE in Spain until 2021. Her scientific studies investigated authentic and ethical forms of leadership based in self-awareness, trust, positive psychological capital, and diversity across cultures. She published peer-reviewed articles in top academic journals including Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies, Journal of World Business, Journal of Management Development, and European Journal of International Management.
Before her academic career began, Tara worked more than ten years in corporate business marketing research at Sears and Brunswick/Life Fitness, consulting projects with Johnson & Johnson, Gateway, Walgreens, Unilever. She also has extensive training in personal coaching and adult development (including iConscious and Integral models of development, True Purpose Institute’s Voice Dialogue methods, CoachU & CTI leadership programs).
Tara offered spiritual mentoring through Trillium Awakening in 2021-2023. She currently is designing an online soul school, and planning to open a nonprofit spiritual retreat & learning center in the future.
