AI is a human-created tool.
It is created from humans writing computer instructional rules.
It is not a higher moral consciousness than its human creators.
So even as it generates its own thinking and actions, those decisions are based on the human-created instructions provided in the physical earth-resourced material components (chips).
AI is going to do what humans do…to each other.
I subscribed to Kim Komando’s #1 tech newsletter to get a sense of what’s happening in the everyday world.
Each time I read it, I feel fear arise in me.
First, like most everything in our society, many people design their communications and services/products/technologies to gain human attention and bring in money.
Fear sells!
What else sells? Sexuality sells. Ways to Feel Powerful or in Control sells.
Some deeper questions I am considering:
why does FEAR sell, and why do we keep buying into it day after day?
why don’t we each address the causes of human fear? instead of seeking ways to power over our feelings, or control our reactions to it.
Addressing a fear at the root cause can eliminate it.
Why do so many people choose to keep feeding fear?
Why do we keep taking advantage of fearful conditioning in humans, feeding it in each other?
For example, marketers (just like politicians, business execs, government officials) blaming others for their own actions, by saying:
“This is what people respond to. So they want it.”
“We are only giving people what they want.”
“The demand creates the supply.”
“We need to survive! and making money is how we survive and thrive in an economic society.”
as if these excuses are justifications.
What if….at the heart and soul level of our bodies…there is no justification for feeding fear or feeding anger or acting our harm, violence, war on each other?
This tech newsletter also provides weekly highlights of how humans are already using new technology tools to harm other humans. Is this any surprise, in a society that glorifies competition for winning and social dominance, profits at any externalized cost, humans at war with other humans endlessly, and government leaders who describe war as the source of gaining power, protection, and security for its people.
Each week the AI news seems to get worse and worse…examples of the latest crimes using AI tools to create false videos, computer generated images of your face and voice for stealing your identity and material wealth and resources. (then the ads say: “buy this app service for $40 a month to protect yourself.”
Even the executives of the AI companies have spoken up about their own fears of what is being created by themselves and other humans…generative AI that can “think” for itself and take independent actions for or against humans. We are so proud of our ability to re-create human consciousness!
Even leaders of spiritual organizations, like the Shift network, are already treating human-created AI tools like it is a higher consciousness that can solve the moral problems we humans refuse to face.
what do we humans do? do we stop creating these technology?
Technology people are in a race to get the most financial return, the fastest, with the humans making the most money from these tech tools building their own underground bunkers for the destructive future they already anticipate on the horizon.
why? why don’t we stop ourselves from harming people and life on earth?
well, what causes human behavior?
research says it is human motivation.
maybe we need to investigate the motivations of the human heart to understand what fuels human war, and address that first…before we create more computer AI versions of humanity…which will simply become what we humans already are…at war with each other.
